This is the motto of the Outward Bound School, a place that breaks limits, changes mindsets, and helps one breakout of their own minds; “the prison cell” where many put themselves in.

I am an “Outward Bounder” having graduated in 1999 and till today I hold on to this motto; “To Serve, To Strive and not To Yield.” This motto has carried me through many a hard times especially navigating through various ventures as an entrepreneur.

I am sharing this motto with you because it is in times like this where some find it hard to cope. Uncertainty to most brings on a lot of stress and even bouts of depression. To some, uncertainty is scarier than death. In times like this always remember that there is a lot of power within you. There is a lot more strength in you than you know. How strong you really are and how much power you have inside you will be revealed as you journey through adversities.

To Serve = to serve yourself as well as to serve others.

To Strive = to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to succeed or to go through (to overcome).

Not To Yield = To not give up or surrender no matter what.

So, in a time as such where uncertainties loom, hold on to these words; “To Serve, To Strive and not To Yield”
