When we were younger, we dreamt impossible dreams, want to achieve phenomenal goals, had great ambition, and we could be anything we wanted to be. Then that all changed. We got into school, we became adults, got into society, and all of a sudden we go with the flow of the society of which we live in. What happened to those dreams?

Those dreams have gone into hiding somewhere in the back of our minds, imprisoned by society’s image of you, imprisoned by what people have said of you, imprisoned by the believes that you have created about who you are, imprisoned by the news that you’ve read and are reading, imprisoned by the many postings on social media, the list goes on.

You have been a prisoner locked up for so many years. Your crime? Believing and accepting what society and the rest of the world thinks of you. Your crime? Believing what you’ve read on social media and allowing all the rubbish in there to drown you. Your crime? Allowing others to mold you into the common person that is acceptable by them; common people.

Do You Still Want To Be Locked Up?

Do you still want to be locked up? Why not break out of your prison cell and become the person you want to become. Why not break out of that prison cell and go after your dreams? You can do it because you have the power in you to do so. You were born with potential. Whatever society thinks of you, or says of you, or enforces upon you, or tells you who you must be is not true. All these do not have to make you who you are.

So, why allow people to tell you who you are? Why live by the image that society has painted of you? Why be common like everyone else out there when you are in fact not like anyone else?

If you want to live a truly fulfilling life…

If you want to break free from your prison cell…

All you need is a change of mindset. All you need is to stop allowing society to continue molding your mind. All you need is to exercise your power; your power to choose. Choose what you read. Choose what to believe and what not to believe. Choose the activities to do or not do. Choose you friends. Choose everything that defines who you are.

Don’t be just another common person. Because you are not. You are born different from everyone else. You are unique.
